According to this book, the "Kabbalah may be defined as the esoteric Jewish doctrine. The word Kabbalah comes from the Hebrew root QBL, meaning 'to receive,' and refers to the passing down of secret knowledge through an oral transmission."
Kabbalah -- which can be spelled with a C or Q -- is an ancient form of Jewish mysticism. Turning Biblical truth and imagery into occult myths and suggestions, it has evolved through the centuries -- usually behind closed doors and in secret societies.
But these hidden mysteries are now communicated openly through the Internet, popular books and celebrities such as Madona. Highlighted at Gorbachev's 1997 State of the World Forum, it has drawn followers among the world's elite as well as the stars of Hollywood.
We offer you this information, not to build interest in occult arts, but to alert Christians to a deception likely to be promoted in today's thrill-seeking, open-minded, pluralistic atmosphere.
So - "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ." Colossians 2:8-9
"TREE OF THE COSMOS" -- This book cover symbolizes the beliefs of Boehme [Jacob Behmen]. The upper portion depicts the Kabbalistic unity of deity. The hexagram in the top circle [often called the Star of David] is actually two intertwined triangles. Shown separately side-by-side below the hexagram, those two opposite triangles are labeled "Nature" and the "Eternal."[2]
The larger sphere at the bottom is called the "Solar World." Surrounding the sun in the center are the signs of the zodiac. As in alchemy and other occult systems through the ages, the Kabbalah includes astrology.

"Yitzhak Rabin does not have long to live. The angels have the orders."[3] So warned Peter Hirschberg in his article written for The Jerusalem Report well before Israel's fifth Prime Minister was shot by Yigal Amir, a right-wing activist who had strenuously opposed Rabin's signing of the Oslo Accords. A rabbi representing a radical group of kabbalist in Israel, had cursed him for his "heretical" policies and predicted Rabin would die within 30 days -- by early November. He was killed on November 4.
"He's inciting against Judaism," said the Jerusalem rabbi who belonged to the Kach movment and asked not to be identified. "We have permission... to demand from the angels of destruction that they take a sword to this wicked man... for handing over the Land of Israel to our enemies." On the eve of Yom Kippur, the rabbi read the curse -- the pulsa denura -- a most dreaded occult weapon in the Kabbalists' arsenal.
"Unbelievable? Too bizarre? That's because the world of mysticism operates by a different set of assumptions than either the Judeo/Christian or the secular world. How we view reality depends on our world view -- which in turn determine the meaning of our words and actions."
Newspapers rarely mention Jewish mysticism. Nor do they mention Christian mysticism, which also drifts beyond biblical boundaries into the misty realms of imagination and magic. But they do show two other opposing paradigms: traditional Judaism which allows no deviation from its religious guidelines and the new pluralistic global movement which demands compromise as a means to peace. The two are incompatible.
